Vintage 2005

Brut

Champagne Fernand HUTASSE

Blend: 50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay
Vinification: Temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats
Dosage: 6g/L
Aging: 10 years minimum in cellar

Eye: When the champagne is poured into the glass, the foam is generous and the lively effervescence builds a layer of tiny bubbles at the surface of the wine. The wine is crystal clear and bright, with a gorgeous old gold colour and amber reflections.
Nose: The first nose is expressive and ripe, revealing candied fruit and a hint of dried fruit. Upon aeration, notes of baked apples and old brandy appear. The finish displays autumn notes (truffle), accompanied by a hint of blonde caramel.
Palate: The attack on the palate is round and full-bodied, with notes of pear in syrup. Finally, the cuvee expresses a pleasant and tangy aftertaste, ending on refined tobacco notes.
